Lumen Village is a single-player puzzle game made by Thinklab. There are no accounts and no sign-in, and we run no servers of our own, so we never receive your name, email address or contacts. The game does use a few outside services to show ads, process purchases, and tell us how the game is played and when it crashes. This page explains what each one gets and the choices you have.
1. What the game stores on your device
Your progress is saved on your device: solved puzzles and stars, your Lantern balance, your daily streak, unlocked themes, purchases, and settings such as sound, controls and language. The game also creates a random ID for this install, which is not linked to your name or to your device's advertising ID. We do not copy your save to any server of ours. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. Reminder notifications are scheduled on your device and only if you turn them on.
2. Consent and your region
When you open the game, it uses Google's consent service to check whether the law where you live requires your consent first, as it does in the EU and the UK. Until that check is done, nothing is sent: analytics events wait on your device.
- Where consent is required: Google's consent form asks whether ads may be personalized, and the game sends no analytics or crash reports from your device at all.
- Elsewhere: analytics and crash reports are sent to the services below.
Where the consent form applies, you can change your answer at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
3. Who the game shares data with
| Service | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Device and app information, your approximate location from your IP address, and (on Android, only if your consent choice allows it) your device's advertising ID | To show ads, measure them and stop fraud. On iPhone and iPad the game never asks for tracking permission, so ads there are never personalized. |
| Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) | Gameplay events (for example, puzzles started and solved, hints used, ads shown, purchases made), an app-instance ID, device model, operating system, app version, country, and crash reports | To understand how the game is played and to fix crashes. Never sent where consent is required (section 2). |
| GameAnalytics | The same kind of gameplay events, plus an ID that GameAnalytics creates, device model, operating system and app version | To measure difficulty and balance the game. Never sent where consent is required (section 2). |
| RevenueCat | Your purchase receipts and a random ID for this install | To confirm purchases and restore them, including on a new device |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | Your payment details and store account, under their own privacy policies | To take payment. We never see your card details. |
We never attach your name, email address or advertising ID to analytics events, and the game removes anything that looks like personal data before an event is sent. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-app advertising beyond the ad personalization you choose in the consent form.
4. In-app purchases
Lumen Village is free. You can buy optional items: Remove Ads, packs of Lanterns (used for hints), cosmetic themes and bundles. Apple or Google takes the payment. The game and RevenueCat receive only the receipt, which says what you bought and confirms the payment went through.
5. Children
Lumen Village is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the game and data about them has been collected, contact us and we will help you remove it. In-app purchases are covered by your device's parental controls.
6. Your rights and choices
- Ad personalization: Settings → Ad privacy choices, where the consent form applies.
- Limit ad tracking: on Android, delete or reset your advertising ID in your device's Google settings.
- Delete your data: uninstall the game to remove everything stored on your device. To ask Firebase or GameAnalytics to delete what they hold, email us and we will send a deletion request to the provider.
- Access, correction and objection: if you are in the EU, UK or California, you have legal rights over your personal data. Email us to use them. Where consent is required, we do not run analytics, and ads use the choice you make in the consent form.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
7. How long data is kept
Data on your device stays until you delete the app. Each outside service keeps data for its own retention period, set out in the policy linked in the table above.
8. Changes to this policy
If a future version of the game collects new data or adds a service, for example online leaderboards, we will update this page before that version ships and change the date above.
