Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 October 2026
These terms cover your use of the Lumen Village game and this website. By installing or playing the game, you agree to them.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play Lumen Village on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the game, and you may not reverse engineer, decompile or modify it except where that right cannot be excluded by law.
2. Your save data
Your progress is saved on your device, not on our servers, and we cannot see it. That means we cannot restore lost progress if you delete the app, reset your device, or move to a new one without your device's own backup. Purchases are different: they can be restored (see below).
3. Purchases
Lumen Village is free to download, and the whole campaign can be played without paying. It shows ads. You can optionally buy:
- Remove Ads: a one-time purchase that permanently stops the ads that appear between puzzles. Ads you choose to watch for a reward stay available, but only when you tap them.
- Lantern packs: consumable bundles of Lanterns, the in-game currency used for hints. Some packs also include a cosmetic item.
- One-time packs, bundles and themes, such as the Starter pack and the Keeper's Bundle.
Nothing is a subscription. Lanterns and other in-game items have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are a licence to use content in the game, not property you own.
- Prices are set and displayed by the platform store in your local currency, and may change.
- Payment, taxes and receipts are handled by the platform store, not by us.
- Restoring: one-time purchases (Remove Ads, bundles, themes, the Starter pack) can be restored on a new install using Settings → Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple or Google account. Lanterns already spent cannot be restored.
- Refunds are governed by the store's policy and requested through them. Where local consumer law gives you a right to a refund, nothing here removes it.
4. Acceptable use
Please don't bypass purchases or ads with modified builds or tools, redistribute the game or a modified copy, or tamper with the game to change scores or rewards.
5. Availability and changes
The campaign, Free Play and the daily puzzle work offline. Ads, purchases and restoring purchases need a connection. We may update the game, change or remove features, or adjust content and balance over time. We will try to keep your progress and purchases working across updates.
6. Intellectual property
The game, its name, artwork, audio and code are owned by Thinklab or our licensors. Light Up (Akari) is a classic puzzle type, and we claim no rights to its rules. You are welcome to share screenshots and video of the game, including in monetised videos and streams. A link back to this site is appreciated but not required.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost save data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
